About Fostering Together
Fostering Together is a collaborative non-profit program between the State of Washington and the Olive Crest Foster Family Agency, a national leader in therapeutic focused services for children in foster care. Since 1999, Olive Crest has served over 1,500 children and families in Washington.
In October 2006, Fostering Together was launched when Olive Crest was awarded the State contract for Recruitment and Retention of Foster Parents in the Northwest region of the state. Since then, Fostering Together has provided support services to families throughout King, Snohomish, Island, Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan Counties.
Fostering Together is dedicated to finding prospective foster homes, helping families through the licensing process and providing support for licensed foster parents to ensure that they receive the support they need to successfully care for the children in their care.
As experienced foster/adoptive parents, our liaisons understand what you are going through and can answer your questions from the perspective of someone who has gone through the process themselves. Whether your goal is to provide a temporary home to a foster child or a forever home to a legally free foster child, we can answer your questions and help you make the right choices to meet your goals.
All of our services, including our Support Groups are offered free to the families we work with. No matter where you are in the process or what agency you want to work with, Fostering Together is here for you.
If you are interested in providing care to one of Washington’s foster children, please contact Fostering Together at 1-866-958-5437. Thousands of children in Washington need a safe and loving place to call home. Are you ready to open your door?
