NON-RECURRING FEES AND COST

Attorney Fee*: $500-$600 per child. Some attorneys offer a discounted rate for more than one child being adopted at a time.
King County Court Filing Fee: $250
Ex Parte Court Fee: $35
Birth Certificate: $32/child if born in Washington State.
Copying Fee: $25/$15 certified

*Note: This fee is an estimate. Every attorney sets their own costs. In addition, some attorneys are charging extra for Kent Court adoptions due to the additional time/travel expense involved.  Please contact each provider for a their individual attorney fee.

Support Groups

Walla Walla Adoptive Moms

This group meets about once a month and is a group of usually moms that meet and offer support and friendship thru the whole adoption process, from just collecting information to support in behaviors and difficulties that adoptive parents experience.  The group tends to just be adoption focused and is open to parents adopting from the foster care system.
