CPR/First Aid Schedules

Keep the Beat CPR & First Aid

Washington State Children's Administration has partnered with Keep the Beat CPR and First Aid Training to offer free CPR/First Aid/BBP trainings statewide to ALL caregivers of foster children including kinship care providers, relative providers, DCFS adoptive and guardianship familes. You do not need to be licensed to attend these classes.

Region 1: Eastern WA
 
Region 2: Puget Sound and North WA
 
Region 3: South of Sound and coast areas
 
Special Notes:

*Students must be 16 years and older to attend the class and receive certification.

*If you require a reasonable accommodation, please provide Keep the Beat with at least 2 weeks notice. Keep the Beat/DSHS will make every effort to provide the service to assist you. This includes interpreters that may be needed. 

*In consultation with DLR and RFTI the following changes will be effective immediately regarding CPR & First Aid Renewals: Caregivers must complete both CPR and First Aid Classes in their entirety at each renewal. First Aid and CPR re-certifications do NOT apply to the required training hours requirement. We appreciate the dedication and commitment of our caregivers in keeping our children safe.
